During the 2018–19 season, the average Premier League game turnout was 38,181, second only to the Bundesliga's 43,500, whilst also collected attendance throughout all games was 14,508,981, the highest of any league.

The team with the most points after 38 games wins the title and also qualifies for the Charity Cup the subsequent season. The bottom three teams in the table are accredited to the EFL Championship. 3 new clubs from the second division – the champion, runner-up, and promotion playoff winner – take their place.


The top 4 clubs in the competition advance directly to the UEFA Champions League group stage.
