In a high-scoring game of the second T20I, Sri Lanka defeated India by a margin of 16 runs and leveled the series at 1-1 appreciation to captain Dasun Shanaka's record-breaking 20-ball fastest fifty, Kusal Mendis' blistering half-century, Charith Asalanka's quick 37, and a first-over double-wicket from Kasun Rajitha.

Dasun Shanaka struck an unbeaten 56 off 22 balls to lead Sri Lanka to a score of 206-6 in 20 overs.

Pathum Nissanka scored 33 off 35 balls, including four fours, while Kusal Mendis smashed a 52 off 31 balls with four sixes and three fours and a strike rate of 167.74. Charith Asalanka also scored a 37 off 19 balls with four sixes and a strike rate of 194.73.

India began out at 57-5 before scoring 190-8 in 20 overs, with Axar Patel top scoring with 65 off 31 balls, including 6 sixes and 3 fours and a strike rate of 209.67.

Shivam Mavi smashed a 26 off 15 balls that contained two sixes and two fours for a strike rate of 173.33, while Suryakumar Yadav smashed a 51 off 36 balls with three sixes and three fours for a strike rate of 141.66.

Dasun Shanaka named Player of the Match for his game-winning all-around effort. He got two wickets in the match's final over while also scoring an undefeated 56 runs off just 22 balls, including six sixes and two fours, for a strike rate of 254.54.
